Handmade Wooden Backgammon (Tawla)

“Mother-of-pearl inlay” is a traditional handmade art in Egypt in which small pieces of shimmering shell are carefully cut and inserted into wood to create intricate decorative patterns. Often combined with “Arabesque” designs and geometric motifs, this craft is widely used to decorate furniture, boxes, and musical instruments.
