This statuette most likely represents a combined form of the sun god Ra and the god of kingship Horus, called Ra-Horakhty “Ra-Horus-of-the-Horizon”. It is a faithful model of the figure decorating one of the ceremonial chariots discovered in the world-famous tomb of Tutankhamun. Set on the pole of the chariot, which connected the yoke with the body of the chariot itself, it solidified the identification of the king with the sun god.
